About the Program

The St. Pius V Drama Program is open to students in grades five through eight and seeks to provide students with a nurturing and welcoming environment in which they can continue to grow and develop their performance skills. The program has grown continually over the past four years with over fifty students involved in the production this past year.

The program begins with auditions in early October and continues through early March, with the production usually being held the second weekend of March. Students of all levels of abilities and experience are welcome to join the program.

The St. Pius V Drama Program performs at McVinney Auditorium in downtown Providence. A recently renovated auditorium with state of the art equipment, the venue provides students with a unique opportunity to perform on the same stage as many professional musicians, speakers, and drama companies.

Rehearsals, with the exception of tech week, are held at the school.
