THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Students are admitted to St. Pius V School at the discretion of the administration. St. Pius V School admission policy prohibits discrimination against students of the basis of race, color, gender, or national origin. Preference is given to parishioners and Catholics.

STEPS OF APPLICATION PROCESS:

Application Form

Applications to St. Pius V School will be accepted beginning in September of the year preceding enrollment. Applications may also be submitted during the course of the year for immediate enrollment, subject to the discretion of the principal.

An application form for each child must be filled out here: Online Application. Once the account is created, be sure to select "Start Application." Copies of birth and baptism certificates, current immunization and health records, and a recent report card are also required.

In addition, a "Release of Records" form is given to the current school of attendance, so that the following documents will be mailed to St. Pius V School: grades, standardized test scores, absence/tardy record, disciplinary action, and any other pertinent information.

Interview with the Principal

Upon receipt and review of the application, the school will contact the family of new applicants and make an appointment for an interview with the principal. If the child applying will be entering fifth grade or older, the principal will also interview the student and seek recommendations from the school of transfer.

New Student Screening

New students are required to attend a screening to assess abilities and readiness skills. The Admissions Office will contact parents to set up a date and time for screening after submitting your complete application.

Notice of Acceptance

Following a review of the results of the screening, the school will email a letter from the principal, notifying parents if children have been accepted for enrollment the following year.

Registration Form and Tuition Contract

Registration for new families takes place following notice of acceptance. The letter from the principal instructs how to register accepted children.

Tuition can be paid in full prior to the beginning of the school year. Another option is FACTS tuition management, a 10-month payment program. Included in the registration is more information regarding tuition and our tuition policies.

When classes reach maximum size, registrants’ names are put on a waiting list. In the admissions process, registrants are admitted in order of the following preferences: children of faculty and staff, siblings who are parishioners, non-parishioner siblings, parishioners, children of alumni, children from other parishes, and finally non-Catholics.
