St. Pius V School's Drama Club Annie Jr.

The St. Pius V School community was delighted by the Drama’s Club’s three performances of Annie Jr. over the weekend. Over thirty students from grades 5 through 8 were involved in all aspects of the production. The cast’s acting, singing, and dancing reflected the months spent practicing and rehearsing their roles. The Drama Club’s vibrant ensemble brought life and energy to the young girls at the orphanage, servants in the Warbucks home, and tourists enjoying the sights and sounds of 1930’s New York City, and the indispensable tech crew ensured that scene changes were seamless. The story of the positive and independent young Annie who, despite her difficult childhood, remained dedicated to finding the love of a family warmed the audience’s hearts, and there was great rejoicing when she accepted Oliver Warbucks’s offer of adoption on Christmas Day! Many thanks to the members of the SPV community who worked tirelessly to make this show a success, especially Elisa Thibeault, Kevin Sullivan, and Andrew John Rondelli.
