On Tuesday, March 4, AKA Mardi Gras, first grade had a great reward: a pizza party! To achieve this, they worked all by themselves and together to decorate their gorgeous door for the door-decorating contest during Catholic Schools Week! They used play-doh, glitter, and even added a cross! Students were independent and also brought stuff in from their homes. When they heard the news that they won, they were extremely excited, revealing they jumped up and down, and could not even hear what their reward would be! They were not only proud of their door, but also proud of themselves for being able to accomplish this. The pizza party was a great success! They exclaimed things such as, "I feel like I'm at a restaurant!" and, "I love eating healthy pizza!" as well as, "I felt like I was in heaven!" Clearly, they enjoyed themselves, and would love to thank Big Tony's for such tasty pizza and the school for this experience! The eighth-grade class also won a party for their beautifully decorated door and enjoyed their pizza on the same day!
