The eighth grade girls are getting the flowers ready with Sister Josemaria for the Eucharistic Procession this morning!

Teacher Appreciation Day is this week! Teachers, we are beyond grateful for all your hard work and efforts to ensure SPV students have a great education and learning experience!

Twenty-five moms travelled to Enders Island in Mystic, CT last weekend for Living the Magnificat: St. Pius V Moms Retreat. They attended Mass together, listened to talks prepared by Fr. Chris Murphy and Sr. Maria Thuan, built community during small group discussions and shared meals, and spent quiet time in reflection and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. All of the moms present were a beautiful witness to the strength of Catholic motherhood and the special community we have at SPV!

Bishop Henning offered Mass for our school and church community on the feast of our patron, St. Pius V, this Tuesday. In his homily, the Bishop compared Christian disciples like St. Pius V to time travelers because their holiness and faith shape the Church of the future. Bishop Henning was able to do some time travelling himself after Mass as SPV's 6th grade class performed a play on the events surrounding the Battle of Lepanto.
St. Pius V, pray for us!

Battle of Lepanto Play happening as we speak!! They're doing a phenomenal job so far! 🍿🎥

The live auction at our Annual Gala this February included many fun "experiences" to share with SPV faculty and staff. Yesterday, the lucky winners of the "Principal for a Day" assisted Sister Josemaria with her principal duties. They led morning prayer, conducted teacher observations, performed recess duty, handed out candy to every student, and announced NO HOMEWORK on the intercom at the end of the school day!

The Men of Saint Joseph International are holding their 14th Annual Men's Conference this weekend at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. Register online and bring a friend!

On this feast of Saint Mark, the Evangelist, Fr. James Cuddy, O.P., of Providence College, encouraged St. Pius V School students to put on humility each morning like they put on their SPV uniforms.
Saint Mark the Evangelist, pray for us!

Our Spring Community Event is happening Sunday!
This event will be a great way to gather as a community, have some fun, and do a bit of service. Families are invited to attend 10am Mass, join us after Mass in the church hall (for donuts) and then meet out on the playground for some cleaning and socializing. We will have corn hole competitions, flower pot painting and more snacks! We hope to see you there! - SPV PSO
